One Year Later
Mumbai – Legacy Conclave Awards Night
The grand ballroom of The Taj glittered under the golden chandeliers.
Every top business magnate, political reformer, and media baron stood on their feet as the host stepped forward with a glowing smile.
"Tonight's award for 'Businesswoman of the Year' goes to...
A woman who rose from ashes, stood against a corrupt empire, and rebuilt her father's legacy into something unbreakable.
Please welcome...
Mrs. Piya Kaur Chaddha."
Applause erupted.
Spotlights swung toward the staircase as Piya Kaur emerged — graceful, radiant, in an elegant ivory saree, her signature emerald pendant gleaming at her throat.
She carried the poise of her mother, the courage of her father... and the fire of her own story.
Viom stood proudly beside the stage, smiling in silence — the man who once held her when she broke, now watching her soar.

On Stage
Piya took the mic, her voice calm, commanding.
"This award... is not just mine.
It belongs to Kiranjeet Kaur and Ranjan Kaur, whose dream I now carry forward.
It belongs to Dr. Viom Chaddha, my husband and my strength.
And it belongs to every girl who was told she wouldn't survive — and then became unstoppable."
She paused, letting her gaze sweep over the crowd.
"I stand here not because I was spared... but because I chose to fight.
For truth. For justice. For legacy.
Today, the Kaur Industries has expanded into education, women's shelters, and ethical enterprise.
And this... is only the beginning."
The hall thundered with applause.

Later That Night | Chaddha Villa
Viom sat by the balcony, sipping his black coffee, as Piya walked out barefoot — her award in hand.
She curled into his side, resting her head on his shoulder.
"We did it," she whispered.
Viom kissed her forehead.
"No," he said softly.
"You did."
She smiled.
"You know what I want next?"
"A vacation?"
She laughed.
"No. A school — for girls like me. Who were silenced. Who need a voice."
He looked at her with awe.
"Then let's build it."
⸻
And just like that — the girl who once hid beneath a hospital bed,
the orphan they tried to erase,
the witness they failed to break...
...became the woman the world would never forget.
PIYA KAUR CHADDHA.
Survivor. Visionary. Flame.
